The Mathis Lodge in Amed was a delightful place to stay for a senior woman like me. The decoration and style of the hotel are truly magnificent, creating a luxurious yet authentic atmosphere. The general areas of the hotel, such as the pool and restaurant/bar, were always calm and relaxed, making it the perfect retreat from the busy world. Additionally, the hotel's accessibility was excellent, ensuring that I could comfortably navigate around the property.
The only thing I would ask for to enhance the vacation experience for senior people is for the children working there, specifically the staff, to be more mindful and professional.

Rooms with great balconies and outdoor seating. Beautifully located pool with restaurant overlooking the view. Friendly and helpful staff. Top quality food with no other options nearby. Great Balinese massage, though unexpected setup for friends. Privacy in remote and quiet area. Free shuttle with flexible drop-off/pick-up. Fairy tale jacuzzi. Delightful cuisine, especially Carbonara. Design of the restaurant. Impressive view and situation.

I absolutely adored the beautiful views from Mathis Lodge Amed. The stunning panoramic vistas of the valley were truly breathtaking. The decoration of the hotel was lovely, with a charming and cozy atmosphere in the general areas. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the accessibility offered by the hotel. The staff made sure that everything was convenient and easy for older guests like myself.
If I could ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be more assistance from the staff. Sometimes the children working there seemed overwhelmed and could have been more attentive to the needs of older guests.

I loved the stunning view from the hotel, overlooking the lush greenery and the ocean. It was truly a unique and beautiful sight. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, providing a cozy atmosphere for a weekend getaway. the staff were friendly and had good communication, making it easy to coordinate transportation and other needs through WhatsApp.
The location was quite difficult to access, with a steep and bumpy road that could only be traversed with the hotel's truck transport. This limited our ability to explore the surrounding area and made it inconvenient to go in and out of the hotel.

The lodge also offered shuttles into town every hour, which was a convenient service. The jacuzzi was a great addition and we enjoyed the great views during our stay.
We felt truly spoilt during our time at this lodge and had no complaints whatsoever.

The location of the hotel was on a steep slope, providing a breathtaking view of the ocean. the rooms had beautiful and unique decorations, with outside beds that allowed guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. the bathrooms were special and the service provided by the staff was excellent. the restaurant served delicious food, and the pool area was stunning. the manager was always available for a nice chat and was quick to handle any requests.
It would have been nice if the shuttle service ran more frequently, as guests had to schedule their activities around the limited shuttle timings.

I had always wanted to visit the Temple Of Lempuyang Luhur in Bali, so I chose to stay at Mathis Lodge for its convenient location. To my surprise, one of the hotel's features that stood out was that no pets and no service animals were allowed. I appreciated this policy, as it ensured a peaceful and clean environment. Additionally, the restaurant at Mathis Lodge served delicious French, Indonesian, and international cuisine, providing a wide variety of culinary delights.
The only downside I experienced during my stay at Mathis Lodge was the steep road and track surrounding the resort. As someone with mobility issues, it was challenging for me to navigate the area.

I had an incredible stay at Mathis Lodge in Amed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of. They even installed a shower in the toilette after I requested it, which was amazing. The general manager was extremely professional and made me feel valued as a guest.
